Meet the team behind Rhapsody.

Jules is our CEO, and product lead at Rhapsody. As a classically trained double bassist based in Los Angeles, he has spent his career working both on stage and behind the scenes, giving him a unique perspective on how ensembles operate day to day.

He has performed in orchestras and live events such as the Oscars, the American Music Awards, the Hollywood Studio Symphony, and the Los Angeles Master Chorale. His recording credits include film and television productions like Encanto, Onward, Coming 2 America, Star Trek: Discovery, Picard, Inventing Anna, and Green Eggs and Ham. He has also collaborated with artists including Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Andrea Bocelli, and Ms. Lauryn Hill.

In parallel with his performing career, Jules has worked extensively as a contractor, coordinating musicians for recording sessions, live productions, and major commercial projects. This experience directly informed the creation of Rhapsody, where he focuses on building tools that reflect the real workflows of contractors and ensembles. He works closely with organizations to understand their needs and ensure the platform supports efficient, transparent communication.

Away from work, he still spends plenty of time with his instrument and is always thinking about how to make the next rehearsal run just a little smoother.

Sarah leads onboarding and user support at Rhapsody, helping organizations get up and running and making sure everything feels easy from day one. If you have a question, she is probably already thinking about the answer (and if not, she will find it quickly).

With a background in music studies at California State University, Long Beach and Indiana University, she understands how ensembles actually function: rehearsals, last-minute changes, and all.

She is especially passionate about communication and organization. Her favorite part of the platform is its ability to keep a complete history of everything; you can always see who said what, when it happened, and why (no more digging through endless message threads).

Outside of work, you can usually find her with a book in hand or wandering through a library, probably adding just one more book to her list.

Aurelien is our backend engineer and system architect. He creates the cloud infrastructure, builds the databases, and makes sure everything works perfectly. While he grew up and studied engineering in Paris, he always wanted to live in California for his two passions are technology and movies.

Thanks to an internship in a post production studio located at Evergreen in Burbank, he was able to settle in Los Angeles and start a career working for the entertainment industry. Over the years, he developed numerous systems for dubbing companies, music recording studios, music preparation, and the Recording Musicians Association.

When he is away from keyboard, he enjoys playing tennis and traveling the world to discover new cuisines.

Olivier is our frontend and mobile engineer living in Woodland Hills, CA. Originally from France, he studied engineering at Grenoble INP Esisar before building a career focused on creating thoughtful web and mobile experiences.

While he does not play a musical instrument, he does master the keyboard (the computer kind). Over the years, he has worked on several projects in and around the music industry, including Fine Line Music Services, the RMALA directory, educational tools for Dr. Don Greene at Winning on Stage, and the FSK Audio website.

Outside of work, he enjoys biking, running, and spending summer nights at the Hollywood Bowl.
